What a story, her builder wanted a classic looking Carolina Boat with new technology (didn't want all the hassle that accompany underwater through hulls). Traditional radical "Carolina Flare", reverse sheer, slight tunmlehome and modified-V planning hull. You start with the keel and frame aided by Buddy Harris and then spend 7 years building her. What you end up with is a sexy platform that will top out at close to 50 mph and turn heads at any dock you come to.
Her hull is Juniper Plank and Frame that are mounted from the Keel and Garboards out and up. She has epoxy between every strip (7/8" x 2" strips) and nailed (with 2 1/2" stainless steel nails) down to the strip below and to the ribs approximately every 6". This was then covered with epoxy coated 22 oz cloth. Ribs are aproximatly 20" apart. Keel is bolted with 1/2" Stainless Steel Bolts.
Hull has two longitudinal stringers with batten topsides. Stem is epoxy laminated Juniper. Her keel is 4' x 6' Solid Juniper Timber. Decks are Plywood epoxy coated and covered in 22 oz Cloth.
She has a full spray rail at her chine.
She has been faired with epoxy and painted with Beige Polyurethane Epoxy Paint
Her interior moulding is Mahogany and Heart Pine with plywood wall fillers
Her hull length is 33' and she is tip of bow to back of motors 37'. Her beam is just over 10' at widest point and 9' at transom. (per Builder)
