The Hunter Legend 37.5 is the perfect size boat for the casual sailor. It's big enough for two couples to relax and not too big for short-handed or solo sailing. Brennan's grin has been lovingly cared for by the current owner and is in very good condition for a 1994 sailboat.
The Hunter 37.5 Legend is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a fractional sloop rig, a raked stem, a walk-through reverse transom with a swimming platform and ladder, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 16,400 lb (7,439 kg) and carries 5,900 lb (2,676 kg) of ballast.[1][3][4]
The boat has a draft of 4.75 ft (1.45 m) with the standard keelfitted.[1][4]
The boat is fitted with a Japanese Yanmar 3HM35F diesel engine of 34 hp (25 kW). The fuel tank holds 35 U.S. gallons (130 L; 29 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 75 U.S. gallons (280 L; 62 imp gal). The holding tank is 25 U.S. gallons (95 L; 21 imp gal).[1][3]
The boat was designed using CAD software. Standard factory equipment supplied included 130% roller furling genoa, fully battened mainsail, self-tailing winches, fore and aft cabins, sleeping accommodation for seven people, built-in solar panel, knotmeter, depth sounder, marine VHF radio, a teak and holly cabin sole, compressed natural gas stove and oven, anchor, a fog bell, emergency tiller and life jackets.[3]
The design has a PHRF racing average handicap of 111 with a high of 126 and low of 96. It has a hull speed of 7.55 kn (13.98 km/h).[4][5]
Every Person at Hunter Marine pledges 100 percent effort to provide you with:

The Hunter Cruise Pac was developed to make all the accessories and hardware you need standard equipment. We buy top quality gear in very large quantities. The result? Equally large savings. The 37.5 Cruise Pac isn't just sails, winches, and running rigging - it's things like electronics, furling systems, cockpit showers, anchors, fire extinguishers, running lights, life jackets - even a copy of Chapman's Piloting, Seamanship, and Small Boat Handling. We invite you to compare the Standard Equipment list below with that of any other manufacturer. You'll discover that Hunter is going the distance for you with more-and better - gear. For Less.

The Legend 37.5 interior is a striking balance of style, comfort, and function. The Hunter Design Team focused on maximizing the spaciousness of each cabin. Additionally, the use of opening louvered bulkhead doors, cabin skylights, and generous ventilation (5 hatches and 9 opening ports) enhance the open, airy feeling of the entire boat.
Corian galley and vanity countertops, cedar lining for hanging lockers, thick teak cabinet fiddles, Scotchguard fabric protection, hand rubbed and sealed bulkheads and cabinets, and a gloss seal for the teak and holly sole are all selected to increase the durability and function of the 37.5. Compare the quality, spaciousness, and comfort with any 40' sailboat available today. The Legend 37.5 is truly a sailboat you'll be proud to own.
