One of the rare Hover AP1 88-80 on the market today.
AP1-88-80 is a medium-size Hover Travel. It can transport passengers from Island to Island or to the mainland. She can carry up to 8 tons (7,000 kg) of cargo.
This Hover can be converted to run a seasonal summer service to provide a unique experience for tourists both for Island to Island or Mainland but also as rescue for hard to reach area in shallow water.
Constructed in 1982-1983 this hovercraft is equipped with aircraft-type seats with a capacity for 76 passengers (or 8 ton payload).
The hull is built using welded marine grade aluminum. For power she has four air cooled Deutz turbo Diesel engines (two twelve cylinders model BF12L 413 FC (500hp) for propulsion and two ten cylinder model BF10L 413 F (390hp) for lifting. Propulsion is provided with two fixed pitch Hoffmann HO-E-2 14P/D275B5 propellers. Included also are three Bosch electrical generators.
"Tenacity" had a major overhaul by the manufacturer in England in 1998. At that moment the total time was approximately 12,553 hours. Since that overhaul, she has only been used 687 hours.
An independent survey was done in the summer of 2002. In this report, the craft is considered A-1 operating condition. On request, a copy of that report can be provided.
"Tenacity" is equipped with a washroom and 84 adult life jackets (76 under seats) and 4 children life jackets.
Estimated fuel consumption: 225L/hr. Normal fuel load can last up to 6-8 hours.
Cruising speed over water up to 40 knots with WOT speeds of up to 50 knots depending on wind and sea conditions and 30 knots over solid surfaces or shallow water.
"Tenacity" was stored in a heated warehouse up until December 2021.
