This Ericson 39 is strong, fast and pretty. She was one of the new ocean racer/cruisers of the early 70's. Her fast Bruce King designed hull was "cool" and distinctive, as it was flush deck with port lights in the side of the hull. The 39's were fast with a moderate draft, swept back keel and rudder. Due to the high-sided flush deck hull/deck form, there was a lot of interior volume which made them popular as fast cruisers. No need for a temporary import permit as she is Mexican flagged. She was last hauled out and bottom painted 2 years ago
Forward cabin provides access to chain locker in the bow. Next is V-berth with cabinets on each side and storage under the bunk. There are hanging lockers to starboard, one aft of the other. An enclosed head is located opposite to port with sink with both pressure and manual water spigots, several storage cabinets and an overhead opening hatch.
Main salon, with 6’4” headroom, has a port side settee which pulls out to make a double berth. There are shelves and cabinets behind the settee. The starboard settee converts to bunk beds. A centerline folding table is built around the keel-stepped mast. Above the table is a large opening plexiglass overhead hatch. Aft to port is a quarter berth, several storage cabinets, a shelf behind and an aft-facing nav station with large chart drawer. Engine access under companionway ladder.
