The most recent addition to the superlative grand yachts by Jeanneau, the 45.1 is a statement of innovation and grace. The sleek, stately lines and graceful exterior contain a wealth of interior space. Her easy helm, thoroughbred speed and steady trim mean that even with the spinnaker raised, it is possible to leave driving to the autopilot. The helm console, mounted engine controls and instrumentation is within easy reach of both hand and eye. The rigid vang, furler main and genoa are evidence of the quest for hassle-free sailing enjoyment. Top priority goes to living space and comfortable appointments. The teak-lined cockpit has been designed around a large table as a fully independent living area leading to the transom extension through a gate. The location of the twin wheels leaves an unencumbered central walkway. Aft, the swim-ladder stows away into its own locker so the extension retains its sleek styling. The backstay is split so as to facilitate easy cockpit access. The uncluttered deck has 27 ports or hatches, positioned to ensure continual yet adjustable natural lighting and ventilation. Two cockpit lockers, a hold aft and another watertight hold forward free the deck area. With increased comfort in mind, Jeanneau's designers have concentrated on creating an inviting living area. This can he seen in the location of the navigation station which opens up cabin space and offers direct access from a saloon dinette area. The dinette is capable of accommodating up to ten around the central table. The galley has provision for stowage on several levels, and a refrigerator. The saloon settee features a wet-bar. The 45.1's master cabin is spacious, tranquil, light and airy, offering a degree of comfort demanded for long-haul cruising. A second arrangement is available forward: two double cabins can replace the master cabin. The owner's or double cabin version are interchangeable, thanks to their modular design.
