1988 Catalina 36

This Catalina 36 MKI is very clean, well maintained and ready to go sailing! The current owners have had her for 10 years and in that time they put on new sails (2010 Main, Jib - NW Sails and 2019 Genoa - North Sails), a new Electric Windlass (2017), new Standing and Running Rigging (2010), new Cutlass Bearing (2019), new Dripless Shaft Seal (2019), and new Batteries (2015).

Catalina’s are great boats that are comfortable, well laid-out on deck and down below and they sail great! The cockpit is large with Wheel Pedestal Steering. The side decks are easy to maneuver on fore and aft and the foredeck is roomy and well laid-out for sail handling or relaxing under way. Down below is very roomy for a 36’ sailboat. Immediately to port from the companionway is a U-Shaped Galley with a Stove and Oven, Hot and Cold Pressure Water Double Stainless Steel Sink, Adler-Barbour Refrigeration and lot of storage in cabinets and drawers. To starboard is a Navigation Station and Navigation Seat. Aft of the Navigation Station is the large Aft Cabin with a large double berth and Bench Seat. Going forward from the Galley and Navigation Area is the Salon with a ‘Game Table’ to starboard with seating for two that drops to a Single Berth. To port is a large U-Shaped Dinette that drops to a Double Berth. There is lots of storage in drawers, cabinets and cubbies in the Salon. Forward of the Salon is a large Head to port with a Marine Head, Shower and lots of storage. There are two doors to the head for access from the Salon as well as access from the Main Cabin. The Main Cabin all the way forward has a large V-Berth, lots of storage, a hatch overhead and a large Hanging Locker.

The 25 HP Universal Diesel Engine is easily accessed by removing the companionway steps and engine cover for performing regular maintenance. The engine was last serviced in June 2020 and runs great!
