2 x Lister/Rootes 125hp 3 cylinder diesels which “sip” fuel and give her a lazy 7 knot cruise or push her up to 10. 2 x generators. Six berths in comfort in three cabins, not including any conversion. This is a rare 58 model, the first built by the famous yard at Dagless Ltd, Cambridgeshire and displayed at the 1961 Boat Show, as a "toss of a coin" had decided which of two Royal Temple Yacht club members (and great mates) would have the first one and which the second! Built using 1 7/16" thick Iroko planks on 4.5" x 2.5" sawn oak frames, she has steam intermediate timbers (also Iroko), bronze screws into the sawn frames and copper rivets into the steamed timbers. She has a mixture of grown (natural grain shape) Iroko floors, and galvanised steel strap floors. She has a cast iron 2.5 ton external ballast keel bolted to the hog and keel plank with hot dipped 1" galvanised steel bolts and is in excellent shape. Major refit 10 years ago with nearly all new interior joinery and full re-fit, tanks opened up and serviced, hull Cascover sheathing removed and fully renewed, new superstructure, decks (complete with marine ply and solid teak over), windows, stainless steel staunchions, lines and cappings, etc. The engines were given a full rebuild and the plumbing and electrical systems were also replaced. The financial costs of this rebuild would have been much the same as the craft is now asking!! She is really quite something - fabulous! She really is an elegant craft, and with her extensive works and re-fit she ought be a wonderful  sound cruising yacht or splendid "flat". She has no need to be a "Marina Queen" as she is well equipped and well able as a sea boat and has proved that to be the case. A true "classic" and in unusually sound order. Extending arm davits with a pasarelle/gang plank, side boarding ladder fits either side, full aft deck "curtain pack" (as the Americans call it), solar panels to aft cockpit roof. You get a sense of wellbeing just sitting on her! I have no doubt she would be ready and willing to set off cruising again. For now she is used very gently and as a temporary home afloat which is wonderful as that keeps all systems running and heat, etc. through her all the time.
