The newest and most beautiful 52 Kadey Krogen on the market. After a 3,200 Nautical Mile shakedown cruise that was a roundtrip from Stuart, FL to Newport, RI, the owners have decided to build a larger Kadey Krogen. The buyer of this vessel will save over $350K and a one year wait time for an identical boat to be built. All warranties are still in place and the bugs have been worked out, saving the buyer of this vessel minor new boat issues that crop up. This Kadey Krogen has been outfitted with the best of all equipment available, including the electronics package. There are numerous redumdant systems throughout the vessel and has received the highest level of care since delivery in May 2015.
The galley is forward and to starboard and has the most desirable features on the Kadey Krogen 52 with a Dutch galley floor, which makes you feel like your working in a light-filled airy area. All appliances are electric. GE stainless steel front dishwasher, GE garbage disposal with valve allowing direct overboard or collection in the gray water tank, Jenn-Aire French door refrigerator, along with electric induction range and convection/steam oven. There is a water filtration system at the sink with separate faucet, tile behind range installed per owners.
Sea Sea is a two stateroom layout plus office. As you enter from the starboard side boarding door turning aft, you walk through a wing weather door and into the spacious and fully covered aft cockpit, a signature feature of the Kadey Krogen lineup. Being able to close the sea door makes this a true extension of your salon. A convenient hot and cold fresh water shower hose is enclosed in a compartment on the transom. Exiting through the transom boarding door is Sea Sea's large swim platform which features removable stern staples and pop-up cleats for securing your dinghy. To further enhance safety, the owners had hand rails installed on the starboard and aft deck gunnels. Stainless steel storm plate receivers only, were installed for salon side windows in the event an owner wanted storm plates. The aft deck has the access for the 75 foot Glendinning shore power cord with remote.
Entering the salon, you pass through a Diamond SeaGlaze weather-tight door, that is a double door. Take note that all exterior doors are of top quality offered on this brand of vessel. The dinette is to starboard which includes a high/low table that can be either a coffee table or open up to provide seating for six as a dinner table. The table is non-fixed and can be moved around. Behind the settee is a 42 inch Samsung HD TV mounted on a lift system. To port are two swivel/glide/reclining leather chairs. Next to the chairs is a bar/storage/buffet/china unit, followed by a pantry with pull out shelves and all counter tops throughout the vessel are an exotic, gorgeous granite. In the hallway across from the guest stateroom is a Bosch stackable washer/dryer in its own locker with louvered doors and cherry wainscoting with handholds.
Forward is the owners/master suite with Tempurpedic queen sized mattress that also lifts to provide an enormous storage compartment underneath. All overhead lighting is LED with a dimming switch by Vimar. Flooring is cherry and spruce. Hanging locker to starboard, chest of drawers aft of the suite and four very large drawers under the bed. There are four port lights in the stateroom, mirror mounted above the chest of drawers. All drawers through out the vessel are stainless steel glides that slide. Ventilation is unparalleled in this model with Lewmar Ocean Series hatches, with screens, and opening port lights. The master head and separate shower is to port, with a Dometic/Sealand head with quiet flush. There is a port light in this area for ventilation. The counter top is also exotic granite like though out the vessel. There is also a door that allows access to the washer/dryer unit. The floor in the head is tile and the fixtures are Grohe. Ventilation fan is a 24 volt DC Rule for good, reliable power.
This is a tri-level yacht so proceeding down three steps from the salon is a office work space with Isotherm freezer, two port lights that provide ventilation, light and abundance storage. To starboard from the office area is the guest stateroom with twin beds, having custom made mattresses, hanging closet, numerous other storage areas, complete head with separate shower, sink with granite counter top, full size household flushing head by Dometic/Sealand with quiet flush.
Below deck in the owner's suite is the forward machinery locker and has two collision bulkheads. In the hallway between the guest stateroom and office is the access hatch to the midship machinery locker, providing access to the TRAC stabilizer actuators, freshwater tank and ships electrical system. Access to the engine room is though a walk-in full standup Diamond SeaGlaze weather-proof door and another collision bulkhead. Aft lazarrette to engine room is yet another collision bulkhead and Diamond SeaGlaze weather-proof door. The center isle in the engine room has standup head room. Sound insulation comes from Pyrotek, Sorberflex, with perforated aluminum. Lighting is Imtra LED and there is a workbench and a freshwater hose and nozzle.
The pilothouse is up five steps from the salon and galley area, which is the Epicenter of Sea Sea. The two power side-by-side Stidd helm seats, provide a very comfortable place to stand watch and share the enjoyment of the view. The captain's seat has a built-in Garmin GRID in the arm rest. The pilothouse settee and dinette can be dropped to turn into a double berth should you need extra sleeping space. Extra effort on behalf of the owners laying out the electronics and using the space properly make is a wonderful place to be on the vessel.
On the Portuguese bridge there is a wing station on both the port and starboard sides. Each station has engine start/stop buttons, engine throttle controls and both forward and aft thruster controls. This is a awesome place to dock the vessel as the operator can look down both sides of the vessel and have a clear view for docking. There is storage both under the Portuguese bridge and just forward of the bridge. The forward deck is uncluttered and a joy to work from. The stainless steel rails are tall and provide a very safe and stable environment. The owners had non-skid applied to the top of the gunnels for safety purposes, this way one can step there and have sure footing while leaning over the rails. The main anchor is a 45kg Ultra Anchor with Quickline swivel attached. The windlass is a Maxwell 3500 HWC, 24 volt DC dual chain wheel and single rope gypsy with 300 feet of 3/8's inch HT chain. The second anchor is a Delta Fast Set with 130 feet of 3/8's HT chain and 300 feet of rope.
Heading around to the port side of the Portuguese bridge and moving aft up steps that lead to the vessels flybridge deck, there is a huge storage locker on the vessel deck level and spans the entire subfloor of the flybridge. The flybridge has an L-shaped dinette to port and to starboard there are two Stidd helm chairs complete with covers and cup holders. The vessels deck is fitted with a summer kitchen that has a Sea Starr BBQ grill, sink, Isotherm Cruise 85 refrigerator and storage spot. The 13 foot AB Deluxe dinghy with 60hp Yamaha four stroke motor is mounted fore and aft on this deck. It is easily launched and retrieved using the Steelhead Marine ES-1000 four function hydraulic davit.
