The Farr 11s is an all Carbon racer that has a 45-degree canting keel with twin asymmetric canards and twin retractable rudders on a hull with high form stability. Complete professional refit was done over 2015. New Yanmar engine, new bulkheads, and new North Sails A2 spinnaker. Extensive sail inventory and very well maintained. This is a Grand Prix racer that can do down wind speeds in the 20s.

The non skid deck is in like new condition and covers the entire cockpit and deck of the boat. Open transom and open cockpit allows for quick cockpit draining as well as ease of boarding at the dock. Moving forward in the cockpit is the S/S tiller and tiller extension. Located just forward of the tiller on the port side are the controls for hydraulically canting the keel. Running down port and starboard sides are foot holds for skipper and main trimmer. On the port and starboard sides are a cockpit window for sheets and lines to be stowed below as well as 4 cockpit bags. Harken winches throughout with 2 mainsheet winches aft of the tiller, 2 jibsheet/spinsheet winches with double drums, and one cabintop winch for halyards and control lines. Also on the cabin top are 3 line clutches on both port and starboard. Lines are run internally under the deck to keep lines untangles and the cockpit organised. Forward on the bow is an oversized deck hatch for spinnaker hoists and douses. Below deck the bow hatch has a ladder for easier entrances/exits for your bowman. On the bow there is the 10' Carbon Fibre bow sprit with tack line and retrieval line. Double lifelines wrap around the boat, supported by bow and stern pulpits with reinforced stanchions between.

Interior is designed for day racing or coastal distance races. The head has a Y-Valve for overboard discharge as well as a Carbon Fibre sink. Access to the hydraulic systems for the canting keel is under the floor boards in the main part of the cabin. A window allows you to see the canting keel to ensure it is in the correct position. Batteries and other electrical components are all located aft of the Engine on the port side. The engine is accessed from on deck by opening up the deck of the cockpit. Large bow area for spinnaker storage.

Underside foils include a Hydraulic canting keel with a Lead bulb, port and starboard Carbon Fibre asymetric Canards, and duel Carbon Fibre split rudders. Bottom was redone by Waterline Systems in 2009 and in 2016 painted with VC Offshore by hand and is wet sanded to be smoother than new.
From Farr Yacht Design.
The hull shape combines the demands for minimizing light air (low speed) drag with high-speed stability and excellent handling qualities. Twin rudders will help control in extreme conditions while the raked bow offers better wave jumping/piercing control. The rig is developed from a skiff-rig concept with highly swept spreaders and no backstay allowing easy tacking and jibing of the large square-headed mainsail. The concept should provide some automatic depowering, and minimize demands on the crew during maneuvers, leaving hands available for keel/canard manipulation and sail handling. The retractable bowsprit stretches the sail plan to allow ample downwind sail area in the form of asymmetric spinnakers. Construction calls for carbon fiber skins with honeycomb core sandwich. The keel fin is also carbon fiber with a 1,090 Kg lead bulb with an overall displacement of 2400 Kg. Motoring power comes from an 15 HP outboard that is retractable in a well that opens to the cockpit. Keel canting is activated by an electrohydraulic pump system requiring 10 - 15 seconds for full keel articulation in tacks and jibes.
