The Hardy 50 accommodation offers luxurious yet practical accommodation for safe offshore passage making.
WHEELHOUSE HELM: Fitted with two fully adjustable sprung helm seats in blue alcantara to port with good ergonomic access to all controls and instruments. A full size chart table and a dining area comprising of a table that can be extended in harbour is to starboard. This area is floored in durable teak and holly laminate and offers very good visibility.
SALOON: A spacious area with 6' 6" headroom, comfortable curved cream alcantara upholstery with blue detailing, a concealed entertainment unit with TV, stereo system and other equipment and coffee table. Useful stowage provided in various lockers, with stairs leading fore and aft.
MASTER CABIN AFT: A very spacious cabin with 6' 6" headroom, fitted with a king-size double bed, extensive lockers and drawer units, a full length hanging wardrobe and a dressing table with mirrors.
AFT HEADS: En suite to aft cabin with separate shower area enclosed by curved shower door, electric toilet, washbasin, mirror and stowage.
GALLEY: On lower level forward, full electric galley equipped with a Bosch 4-burner electric cooker with separate oven and Neff microwave, double stainless steel sinks, large refrigerator, extensive lockers including crockery stowage and a large working surface area. Corian moulded worktops are stylish as well as practical and this area also has teak and holly effect flooring for easy cleaning.
FORECABIN: Fitted with two full length and width ‘V’ berths, large hanging locker, lockers either side below the side decks as well as lockers below and in between the berths. There is an opening roof hatch/window, with fly screen and blind.
FORWARD HEADS: En suite access from forecabin and fitted with a shower, electric toilet and wash basin.
OFFICE AREA: Useful working area with lockers, desk, shelving and stool. A good position for the laptop and a printer for if the business calls!
THIRD/CREW CABIN: Compact cabin currently with one full length single berth, hanging locker and stowage below the berth. A second bunk berth was fitted but has been removed by the owner, it may be possible to reinstate this if required.
CREW HEADS: Small heads with manual Jabsco marine toilet, shower and wash basin.
UTILITY AREA: Equipped with a Zanussi Aquacycle 1300 washing machine and tumble drier to port, work bench and storage area to starboard. This area also provides access to the vessels ancillary equipment (heater, calorifier etc).
ENGINE ROOM: Entered via water tight door and providing good access to the main engines, generator, hydraulic systems, main fuel tanks and other systems.
FLYBRIDGE: The large flybridge is well laid out with lots of seating and a helm position which provides good visibility for even the most difficult mooring tasks. There are ample lockers for storage of flybridge seating cushions and the mast on the flybridge is hinged for lowering if/when required.
EXTERIOR SPACE: Wide, safe decks and one level walk round with bulwarks surrounded by a solid high stainless steel guard rail make deck work very straightforward. There are side and stern gate boarding points and the aft gate leads to the boarding platform. A large lazarette aft deck storage locker provides ample storage for warps and other deck gear whilst the quarter deck may also be used for dinghy stowage or provides a large alfresco entertaining area.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Eberspacher diesel fired heating system and dehumidifier in dedicated cabinet. Additional saloon dual voltage top entry fridge/freezer fitted together with ice maker. 24v DC pressurised hot and cold water system throughout. Holding tank (300l) with 24v electric macerator pump overboard plus deck pump out facility and automatic monitoring, all showers and basins have sump tanks with automatic electric pump out overboard.
Engines located in engine room with walk in access via secure hatch, 2 x Man R6-800 800hp (@2300 RPM) 6-cylinder common rail turbo diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Racor glass bowl fuel-pre filters. Dual single lever controls with electric start at both helms. Full engine instrumentation. Twin shaft drives powering fixed pitch propellers via twin disc ‘quick shift’ MGX-5114A gearboxes. Traditional simple packed stern glands for reliability and safety. Hydraulic Eltrim trim tabs. Vetus 160KGF hydraulic bow thruster with controls at both helms. Two hydraulic pumps.
Current engine hours are not accurately known due to a minor software issue which is being rectified but are believed to be around 900hrs, MAN are investigating. The engines have been well maintained and a recent inspection suggested that only a basic service need be carried out as she has been so lightly used since their last service.
6 x AGM Domestic batteries charged via engine alternators. Shorepower system with Victron 80 amp/24v battery charger, 3 x 3kW 240v AC Victron inverters, ring mains with full RCD breaker panel and large calorifier with immersion coil. Electrical distribution area with excellent access for maintenance, expansion or fault finding. Various switch panels in the helm with a comprehensive power and battery monitoring system. Fischer Panda 6kw 24v DC generator fully integrated into the electrical installation (this now requires attention or possible replacement and has been allowed for in the asking price).
