A nice example of this little cruiser from French builder Jeanneau 'Anam Cara' offers great comfortable family cruising and with her unusual shoal draft bilge/lifting keel configuration is ideally suited to use in shallower waters or exploring the many sea lochs and anchorages of the West coast. The current owners were attracted to the boat initially by the shallow draft and have enjoyed many nights in anchorages which are off limits to boats of a similar size with deeper drafts Offering accommodation for a total crew of 6 with separate forward and aft cabins, a spacious saloon and cockpit benefiting from a fully fitted cover creating additional living space the boat is well suited to family cruising.

Produced by a large production builder the hull and deck are made from single piece high quality finish GRP mouldings both finished in white gelcoat. Deck moulding has moulded in non-slip texture panels on side deck and coachroof with laid teak panels in the cockpit. Internally the boat is finished with mouldings forming the base for the furniture and the deck head linings which creates a robust and easily cleaned interior.
The bilge/lifting keel configuration is ideally suited to use in drying harbours or shallow creek type moorings. Centre plate and working mechanism are contained within the keel box around which the saloon table has been constructed and is operated by ropes. The current owners have modified the standard system to allow lines to be lead up to the cockpit winches dramatically reducing the effort required in operation.
Masthead sloop rig with single spreader anodised alloy mast and boom. All rigging of stainless steel 1x19 wire construction, terminated with roll swage end fittings. Facnor roller reefing system on forestay with roller furling genoa. Battened mainsail with 3 reefs, stowing in stackpack type sail cover. All reefing and furling lines for both Mainsail and Genoa lead aft to cockpit.
Deck and coachroof finished in in white gelcoat with non-slip textured panels moulded into both. Alloy toerails run full length of decks with stanchions secured to sockets on toerail to support guard wires.
Single bow roller on stemhead to stow anchor. Large deck opening anchor locker immediately aft with lots of room for anchor rode and other associated gear. Accesss aft to cockpit via nice wide side decks with stout guardwires runnig full length of boat between fixed pulpit and pushpits. Hand rails running along the outboard edges of the elevated coachroof provide additional security for crew moving forward in rough conditions. Mast mounted on coachroof, all lines lead aft to cockpit along port side of coachroof.
A large sprayhood provides excellent protection for the aft cockpit and the full size cockpit cover creates a large additional living space in the cockpit when fitted; a full set of tailor made cockpit cushions provide additional comfort when seated in the cockpit. The cockpit is large for a boat of 32', the sole and seating have inlaid teak deck panels, a huge cockpit locker is situated under the starboard side cockpit seating with a separate gas locker aft.
As you would expect from a large production builder such as Jeanneau the interior layout offers a good quality finish with a light and practical living space which makes use of all available interior volume.
Light streams into the forecabin from a large opening deck hatch. The cabin offers a compact double bunk with the space below the bunk used as bin type storage lockers, additional storage is provided around the cabin in the form of shelves with a small hanging wardrobe located at the aft end of the cabin.
The saloon occupies the central area of the accommodation space with bench style seating running along the starboard side and an L-shaped bench settee to port. Centrally mounted, drop leaf saloon table opens out to create a spacious space for eating and entertaining below decks. Table encases lifting keel casing. Storage provided around saloon with shelves outboard and locker space beneath seat backs and under cushions, both settees double as generous single bunks.
U-shaped Galley occupies area aft of saloon on starboard side. Well appointed with all facilities required to comfortably cater for a full crew when required. Stainless steel sink, top loading fridge with integral freezer compartment, range of storage with large bin type locker and other small cupboards and drawers beneath the work surface. U-shaped galley lends itself to practical use while on passage.
Generously sized heads compartment is located opposite the galley. Again compartment is laid out in a highly practical manner with the focus being on easy use and easy cleaning. Compartment contains Jabsco sea toilet, sink, shower and vanity unit.
An aft cabin on the port side is fitted out with a double bunk and is a real bonus feature on a boat of only 32'. The cabin has a compact hanging locker and shelving along the port side with additional storage below the bunk cushions.
