MJM Yachts was founded by Bob Johnstone, creator of world-famous J-Boat sailboats, to address the needs of boaters who were looking for a high-quality cruiser that was economical to operate and could be easily single-handed. He turned to noted yacht designer Doug Zurn to create a classically beautiful yet functional design and to the experts at Boston Boatworks for high-tech production expertise. As a result of this collaboration, MJM yachts are constructed to exceed the CE Class A (Ocean) structural requirements by using a composite of epoxy-bonded bi-directional E-glass, Kevlar and CoreCell that is vacuum-bagged and oven post-cured for unrivaled strength, light weight and beautiful finish.
Powered by electronically-controlled diesel engines, MJM yachts are quick, nimble yet exceedingly economical.
