"HERON" is a beautiful, late model Robinhood 36, unique as she is equipped with in mast mainsail reefing / furling, using a Selden spar system. She also is equipped a heating system, Seafrost refrigeration, electric windlass, and below decks mounted autopilot. Sailhandling is easy with furlers for both yankee jib and staysail.
"HERON" also has a great layout which offers a larger galley and navigation area, and a large single berth in the forward cabin. New cushions were installed in 2014, and all brightwork refinished as well. Currently, "HERON" is located in CT and available to be seen easily. Her original owner is now offering "HERON" due to a change in cruising plans.
The interior of Heron is finished in beautiful rubbed effect varnished teak, with a teak and holly sole. White high pressure laminates were used in the galley and navigation area, the head area, and along the inside of the cabin trunk to give the vessel an open and fresh feel.
The forward cabin has a double, Pullman style berth to port, with a comfortable seat / step to starboard. Shelves over berth and storage lockers to starboard. Ash ceiling lines the hull. 2 Opening ports and overhead hatch. A set of drawers follows the starboard berth and there is storage under the berths in drawers and traps.
Next aft is the head area to port with vanity, head and shower. A teak seat covers the toilet as a shower seat. To starboard are 2 hanging lockers.
The main cabin follows with port and starboard settees, the port berth being L-shaped and forms a double berth. The table is mounted on the port bulkhead.
