With modern looks, responsive helm, and good accommodation for her size, it's great fun around the cans and equally capable for family cruising.
The smaller sizes of Beneteau’s First range of cruiser racers have a reputation for being quick little boats, especially in light airs. Commonly they are bought as sporty little club racers, used largely for summer weekend sailing.
Designed to replace the fixed fin keel First 265, which had been gradually modified over the years from the original First 26 of 1984, the 260 was part of a new vanguard of high performance French cruiser/racers with lifting keels as standard. Designed by Groupe Finot, famous for its all conquering designs for singlehanded ocean racers, for events such as the Mini Transat and Vendée Globe, she presents a thoroughly modern setup for a nigh on 15 year old boat, with chisel bow, twin rudders and wide, relatively shallow sections aft. This is an excellent example of the innovative Beneteau First 260 Spirit, beautifully designed by Group Finot.
