Golden Fleece is a steel cutter rigged 42 foot live-aboard cruiser. The present owner commissioned the design, project managed the build and specified all systems. Designed by Bill Dixon, professionally built in Falmouth, Cornwall and launched in 2000.
She is British part 1 registered and VAT paid. She has her recreational craft directive approval certification for class A ocean sailing for 8 persons.
Designed for short handed sailing and living aboard by-husband and wife team who have sailed the Mediterranean, Atlantic Islands, completed an Atlantic crossing and sailed the South Atlantic. Golden Fleece is now in Antigua in the Caribbean waiting for her next voyage.
Cruising speed under sail 5 -7 knots under engine 6 knots. She comfortably accommodates 4 or 5 in 3 cabins plus large saloon. She has two sets of heads, a large galley and full size chart station.
She has a very safe centre cockpit with many harness points, and safe uncluttered decks with 33inch high guard wires and many hand holds.
