M/V Fish Tale Too is a meticulously maintained 34' Phoenix Tournament Sportfish powered by twin Crusader Marine 355 HP Inboards. Fully found with many upgrades and replacements, she is ready to go offshore. Featuring a roomy, practical and comfortable 114 sq. ft. cockpit, this 34' Phoenix is equally adept at offshore angling, coastwise cruising and dockside entertaining. It is rare, indeed, that any boat satisfies both serious anglers and dedicated cruisers: the 34' Phoenix does a fine job.
With a newer (2012) marlin tower, first class Sunbrella fabrics throughout and an owner who spared no expense maintaining her, M/V Fish Tale Too is not to be missed. Be sure to review the long list of upgrades and see the accommodation place for cabin layout that boasts 6'2" headroom!
As testament to the design success and sea-keeping ability of the 34' Phoenix, it later became the Phoenix 35 and, when Jupiter acquired Phoenix circa 2001, it was reintroduced as the Jupiter 35. Circa 2007 it was the hull design for the semi-custom Laurel Point 36 (Columbia, NC) and circa 2011, the Albemarle Laurel Point 36.
Excerpt from Powerboat Guide, 2015 Edition by Ed McKnew
"Sure-footed express from 1990s was designed for hardcore, tournament-minded anglers. Expansive single-level cockpit with aft-facing bait station, in-deck fishbox is ideal for stand-up fishing. Engine boxes double as bait-watching seats. Cozy cabin with U-shaped dinette, compact galley, head with shower sleeps four. Prop-pocket hull can cruise in very skinny water. Good attention to detail."

"Since 1976, Phoenix Marine built world-class, blue water, sportfishing boats ideally suited for the rigors of offshore fishing and the comfort of extended cruising. In the most remote regions of the world, Phoenix boats have earned the reputation for excellence in performance, durability and lasting value... So, no matter which of the world’s oceans you choose for your boating, you can be assured that our commitment to quality includes superior design, modern manufacturing techniques and water testing every Phoenix yacht before it is shipped.
Phoenix engineers have successfully blended outstanding performance with all the attributes of a serious offshore sportfisherman in the 34 Tournament Series. The standard transom door and gate, molded fiberglass bow pulpit, in-deck fish box and optional live well reflect Phoenix Marine’s years of hands-on fishing experience. For those who prefer to fish without a crew, the 34’s lower command station allows the helmsman to be a part of the fishing team.
A pedestal helm seat affords unmatched visibility for a sportfishing boat and convenient access to the large, well planned electronics console. Aft of the command station, the bait preparation center is positioned to provide complete cockpit visibility while working baits or cleaning fish. Below the spacious "U" shaped dinette seat, a large rod storage locker keeps fishing tackle neatly stowed and out of sight.
The large galley offers a refrigerator/freezer, stove and deep, two level, molded fiberglass sink. Plentiful cabinet/locker compartments, both above and below the galley’s counter top, allows appliances to be stowed while fishing. The head compartment has a head, shower and molded lavatory and sink. The forward sleeping area has vee-berths ... and two lockers.
The Phoenix 34 Tournament Series brings new meaning to the word "performance" with twin gas ... and a standard 300 gallon fuel capacity assuring the fisherman or cruiser of performance and range to satisfy the most demanding offshore runs."
