Aurora” is a well-maintained C&C 36 XL. She has a fantastic deck layout and features a stepped transom; her wonderful interior makes this boat a very comfortable cruiser racer. With the triple spreader rig and the deep keel this boat is a sailor’s dream. Add to that a very comfortable cockpit and spacious interior with a queen sized aft cabin with separate shower stall, galley with loads of storage, comfortable main saloon and separate enclosed V-berth the C&C 36 XL gives you the complete package.
This boat is well equipped from sails to electronics.
The boat features newer electronics and upgrades including a $10k refit in 2016 which included new engine mounts, engine hoses, heat exchanger cleaning/gaskets, exhaust mixing elbow, new dripless seal, new cutlass bearing, mast removal and inspection including dye penetrant examination of the cold formed heads of the rod rigging.
Are you wondering what the XL stands for? Of the 3 versions of the 36'er the "+" version is for the club racer, the "R" version is for the full-blown racing version and the XL is meant to satisfy the sailors who want "R" performance but with more creature comforts below.
