Large teak lined side decks wrap the deck house on the Grand Banks Europa, which provide a tremendous platform that assures safety for line handling. The aft deck is roomy with a teak table and cushioned chairs. The cockpit has dunnage boxes located on the port and STBD sides, offering good storage. To the forward port side of the cockpit are steps that lead to the flybridge. Once arriving on the bridge, you will find a nicely laid out flybridge, perfect for cruising! Aft of the bridge is the tender and the davit. To the STBD side aft is an L-shaped lounge seat with a teak table. To the port is another dunnage box for storage. As you move forward, there are 2 aft facing bench seats, one to the port and the other to the STBD, allowing for more seating for those you choose to include on your voyage. STBD of the upper helm there is a pompanette helm chair. Truly an upgrade, this seat features thick upholstered cushions for extra comfort for the captain. The electronics have also been upgraded to Furuno Nav-net. There is a sum log, a trim tab indicator, VHF, and autopilot Simrad AP 16 control at the upper helm as well. To port is another bench seat that faces forward. This bridge indeed has excellent room for everyone during your water expedition.
Moving forward from the aft cockpit, centerline is a sliding door that leads to the salon. This door slides all the way to the port making room for entrance into the salon. When you walk into the salon through the aft door, immediately to port there is an L-shaped sofa and table. This sofa and table convert into a bed. Opposite of the forward portion of the sofa is a large storage cabinet; it offers great storage, houses the AM/FM CD player, and has dedicated space for ship’s log keeping. The 26” LG TV rests on top of the cabinet. There is ample room to the aft starboard for a storage cabinet and a chair. The lower helm is located forward the STBD side of the salon. There is a dedicated door next to the captain’s chair for easy access to the side deck and bow. You will also notice the well-designed teak steering wheel at the helm. The navigation center is carefully designed and equipped with fully functional electronics for smooth sailing.
All the way forward are steps leading down to the galley and head. The galley to the port side has a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, a Princess stove top, a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, a Whirlpool microwave oven, and a twin sink. This fully equipped area is perfect for voyagers to enjoy a cooked meal during their journey. Directly across the galley is the head. Past the head is the master stateroom. This stateroom has a double berth, a storage cabinet, a 14" Trutech TV, and a Trutech DVD player; the perfect retreat for relaxation after enjoying the sun outside.
You can quickly access the bow through the door to the STBD side of the lower helm. As you walk through the side deck, you will notice that the bow has a big platform with no seats or pads. The anchor stores in the forwardmost of the bow. Europa is a great boat, perfectly designed for boaters looking for a classic yet nifty yacht.
