The much sought after Aloha 34 was designed by Ted Brewer and Robert Walstrom and built in Whitby, Ontario until the late 1980s. She has enjoyed a well earned reputation as a "comfortable and reasonably fast cruising sailing yacht, very beamy with a long waterline and very generous accommodations." She is powered by a 27 hp Westerbeke Diesel.
The spacious traditional teak interior takes full advantage of the generous 11'2" beam with exceptional storage space and well thought out cruising accommodations. The salon features luxurious settees on both port and starboard sides with a fold away dining table that completely disappears when not in use.
Aft of the salon is the U shaped galley to port which features a three burner stove with oven and stainless steel sink with a large ice box. Opposite, on the starboard side, is the forward facing nav station with a generous work surface and the quarter berth. Located between the galley and the nav station are the companionway stairs. These are easily removed giving access to the front of the engine.
The spacious cockpit features two lockers - one shallow (starboard side) and the second, opposite and deep. The port side locker provides access to the back of the diesel engine, the transmission and the fuel system making it accessible for maintenance.
There are ten opening ports and three opening overhead hatches that provide plenty of fresh air circulation. The head, located forward of the salon, has hot and cold pressure water with access doors from both the main cabin and the forward stateroom.
Some upgrades include new Main Sail and Furling Genoa. The bottom has been totally redone with interprotect and VC17.
