A teak wet bar with ice maker is to port inside the entry door. A comfort chair completes the salon arrangement. Engine hatches have acoustical and thermal insulation beneath the carpet in the salon.
The Master Stateroom is forward in the bow with a Queen Berth, two hanging lockers, over head rod storage, TV & VCR, overhead hatch w/screen, 12v lights, mirror and under the queen bed are four drawers. The guest stateroom is to port with over & under large single berths. Both staterooms share a large head on port side with separate shower stall. Marine Air reverse cycle electronically controlled air conditioning units provide environmental comfort.

"Southern Lady" can run offshore independent of dock power and be comfortable with the air conditioning system cooling the boat and all electrical appliances functioning. 12V power is provided by (3) large 12V batteries (new 2015). 115V power is provided by (2) 50' 50 Amp shore power cables and a 8KW Westerbeke genset. An electrical panel with CB's, volt/amp guages located on port side of salon distribute the power as required.
The entire engine room, engines and generator have been detailed and painted. A Detroit Diesel mechanic has inspected and replaced all hoses. Both Detroit 6-71 TI diesel engines have been completely rebuilt in 2007. The rebuild included bearings, heads, turbo chargers, exhausts, heat exchangers, hoses and clamps, etc. The rebuild was performed by Florida Detroit Diesel in Fort Pierce, FL. New, larger injectors were installed increasing the power from 450 hp each to 485 hp each, thus 970 hp total. There are 485 hours on the engines since rebuild. Stbd turbo rebuilt 2014. The Reverso Oil Changing System allows easy oil changes of both engines and the genset. The engines and Westerbeke genset are located below the cabin sole in the salon keeping the weight amidships. Hatches are in the salon sole directly over the engines, genset and bilge pump.
Southern Lady was painted with Awlgrip in 2005. The factory hard top with a (3) sided Isinglass enclosure with a Venture windshield gives wind and weather protection for the FB. There is guest seating along the stbd side and across the front of the helm on the FB. The Good Windlass manages the Delta 44lb. Fast Set Anchor from the pulpit via foot pads or from the FB with the remote control. There are (2) deck hatches and a life raft mounted on the foredeck. A swim platform provides easy management of dive tanks and gear and tender access to the cockpit. A custom fish/ice box is built onto the dive platform for additional fish/lobster storage. It can easily be removed. The fly bridge has an overhead electronics cabinet mounted to the hard top for easy viewing and security.
The cockpit is large and uncluttered with a tackle center and sink on the fwd bulkhead and live well across the transom. Rupp outriggers, with a center rigger and rocket launchers provide the rod holders and rigging to catch the big ones. The bait freezer and cutting table make it easy to set the bait. Large fish boxes built in to the cockpit deck allow storage to bring the catch home. The fresh and sea water wash downs keep the decks clean and safe. A large lazarette is under the cockpit deck for storage. The gunwales have six rod holders built into them.
