The hull is constructed of solid fiberglass and the underbody is a full keel with a cutaway forefoot and consequently tracks very well under power and sail. The propeller is protected within an aperture between the keel. The full-sized rudder makes steering easy and sure. The balsa deck core is reinforced with plywood near high stress areas and the deck is covered with a diamond patterned non-skid that provides outstanding grip in wet and rolly conditions. All bulkheads are tabbed to the hull with multiple layers of fiberglass to create a strong structure. All stanchions and pulpits are thru-bolted for strength and security. Mizzen mast is stepped on cockpit sole, and supports antennas and radar dome. Main mast is keel stepped and is located in head compartment, forward of the door, very inconspicuous. Rod rigging throughout. The headsail has a double headstay that allows the a second headsail to be hanked on without having to remove the furled headsail.
Entering the main salon from the cockpit companionway, to port and extending aft under the cockpit combing is the Quarter Berth with cubby storage outboard and above the bunk.
