This 1984 O’Day 34 is located in Bristol, Rhode Island and is available for showing by appointment.

The O’Day 34 design concept was aimed at moderate sailing performance and spacious accommodations. The deep draft keel is a moderate aspect fin for good windward performance and the rudder is large providing for good directional control. Overhangs are short resulting in a reasonably long sailing length. There is a V-berth cabin forward followed by head to port and hanging lockers to starboard. There are port and starboard settees in the main saloon with a centerline drop-leaf table followed by a starboard side quarter berth and navigation station and port side U-shaped galley. This is a very spacious and uncluttered interior and what the arrangement lacks in imagination it more than makes up for in efficiency.

DULCINEA is a well cared for, one owner O’Day 34. She is nicely equipped for cruising and provides the perfect platform for the cruising family or couple.

The interior layout is thoughtful and practical. The cabin has 6’-02” of headroom and is entered down via a stainless steel companionway ladder with teak treads. Lying to port is a large U shaped galley with plentiful storage for dry good, and cutlery. Two ice boxes, dual stainless sinks a two burner stove / oven and ample counter space make for a user friendly arrangement and cook would appreciate. The navigation table lies to starboard bordered by a large hanging locker forward and a quarter berth aft capable of sleeping two persons. The large dinette table is centered amidships with an L shaped settee to port and a single settee to starboard. Sea rails outboard of each settee provide secure stowage for books and other gear. Forward of the teak bulkhead there is a head to port. Ahead of the head is the V berth. This forward cabin is completely private with separate doors to both the head and the passageway. It offers a stateroom like feel with a large V berth and. Shelving, a hanging locker and a three drawer bureau.
