Like many Hatteras Yachts known for their incredible seaworthiness, the Hatteras 52' Convertible has an awesome reputation for off-shore performance. Today, the Hatteras 52 Convertibles are still in demand and holding their values well.
A great looking vessel that is still turning heads today, the 52' has a long deck profile with a very large cockpit and flybridge that offers plenty of room for anglers or guests alike.
The Hatteras 52 Convertible’s hull was designed by Jack Hargrave. The hull was designed to run well in a head sea. The double chine serves two purposes, the first is to deflect the spray down, making this Hatteras dry, and it also allowed an increase of beam without adding more wetted hull surface, giving more interior volume without decreasing efficiency through the water. The modified V has a sharp entry to cut through choppy sea conditions. The V quickly shallows after the entry adding volume and buoyancy forward to keep the Foredeck above the waterline in even the most sporty of sea states. As you travel aft, the hull bottom gradually flares out for added stability. This stability is especially important at slower speeds such as when trolling for elusive big game fish.
Entering the salon you are greeted with traditional teak woodwork throughout the expansive salon. Carpeting, custom soft goods and blinds, AC/Heat and plenty of lighting throughout make the salon comfortable while lounging in the large L-shaped couch. Just forward to port is a built-in L-Shaped dinette with an entertainment center with a large, flat-screen TV.
To starboard, a full galley with 2 burner stove, refrigerator and freezer, ice maker, microwave, dishwasher and sink. Lots of counter space, additional lighting and storage is also found throughout.
The 52 is known for its large comfortable Flying Bridge. The aft Helm offers excellent 360 degree views while giving the Captain a direct view into the Cockpit, which is also important when directing the fishing activity. In front of the Helm is a large comfortable seating area for guests and cavernous storage for all of your important equipment
To starboard is the master stateroom with a queen berth, hanging locker and storage, and a flat screen TV. The master stateroom also offers a full-private head with a separate stall shower.
The port guest stateroom has over under bunks that are large enough for adults. It shares a head with the forward guest stateroom. Upper/lower berth
All the way forward in the bow is a 3rd stateroom with upper and lower bunks with additional storage and lighting. This stateroom shares a head with the port guest stateroom.
This boats huge Engine Room is accessed from the Cockpit. Cockpit access keeps the dirtier Engine Room tasks out of the Salon. The headroom is generous. Hours show 900. We do not know if these are original or after rebuild but we believe they are original.
