Launched in 1993 after 13 years in build by her previous skilled owner, well built but now needing some TLC.
Build started in 1982 and continued over an 11 year period, launching in 1993. Construction is of single chine marine ply (5/8” best quality marine grade) all secured to teak frames with silicon bronze screws, mahogany superstructure and solid mahogany transom. All very heavily constructed in best quality materials. Self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering, Bermudan sloop rig with small bowsprit and triple keel, 4 berth internal layout in 2 cabins with around 5’10” headroom.

SAILS & RIG:
Slab reefing mainsail with green mainsail cover. Genoa roller reefing system by Rotostay with furling No 1 Genoa and blue UV strip. All sails in very good condition. Varnished wooden mast and boom with stainless steel standing rigging (all 1993).
Lister Petter 20HP twin cylinder inboard diesel engine with heat exchanger. 25 gallon stainless steel fuel tank with consumption per hour of around 1/3 of a gallon at a cruising speed of around 5 knots. Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller. Alternator charging to 3 x 12 volt batteries. Deep sea seal and cutlass bearing fitted 2014.

She has a Dolphin wind generator on the transom triple charging her batteries. Her galley has an Optimus 2 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, water supply to the sink is from a 35 gallon stainless steel water tank. Her separate heads compartment has a Baby Blake marine toilet. Fabric upholstery with curtains and a hard floor.
There are 2 “V” berths in the forward cabin and 2 single settee berths in the saloon.
“Blackwater Witch” was built by her previous owner over a period of 13 years, launching in 1993. She has proved to be a wonderful traditional cruising boat, heavily built using the best of materials available with a wonderfully crafted interior. A full insurance survey was carried out in November 2013 and subsequently her gas system has been overhauled and a new deep sea seal and cutlass bearing fitted 2014 together with new anodes. Her present owner purchased in 2014 and has berthed her at Tollesbury Marina where she is currently ashore. A recent inspection of the hull has revealed some areas of softening which will require repair so the owner has just reduced the price from £14,000!
