This vessel was originally built in a Finnish shipyard and a centre cockpit with fixed sprayhood. Although the ship looks like a Motorsailor, but it is actually a real sailing ship with main and mizzen mast (mizzen mast was not in place at the time the pictures were taken). The centre cockpit with steering wheel can be completely sealed in bad weather. Below deck lots of living space has been created with the 9m 50 length consisting of a spacious and fully equipped main cabin, toilet in the bow with ample storage space and a spacious aft cabin with a comfortable double bed.
The semi s-shaped bilge hull with fin keel has a beautiful design which handles and sails well at sea. The current owner has made frequent trips up and down the coast with this ship, as it is an ideal coastal sailor. The ketch rigging makes it easy to trim the sails in a sudden squall. The sails consist of a mainsail, mizzen, jib, genoa, storm jib and spinnaker. The teak deck is screwed to the fibreglass deck, and is in a condition that still has years ahead of it, although it is rather old. The cabin roof is covered with a kind of artificial teak film which is not the most attractive roof covering but need not be replaced. The boat weighs around 5 tons and has 2 tons of ballast. The air draught is approximately 12,50m, and the body of the ship is equipped with air compartments which makes it unsinkable.
The light oak interior is made with great craftsmanship. The main cabin has two long seats with table and equipped with radio and hairdryer. The U-shaped galley has a two-burner gimballed oil gas cooker, deep freezer compressor, storage and sink. On the other side is a chart table and a deck passage to the aft cabin. The aft cabin is surprisingly spacious with a double bed and plenty of storage. Although only 9,50m, the ship is suitable to stay on for a long time. Ideal for two persons, but can two people sleep on the long couches in the cabin. These are designed as double beds so can possibly sleep 4 people. In the passage to the rear is a quarter berth. This brings the maximum number of berths to 7.
In the bow instead of the traditional double bed there is a toilet with ample storage space.
The ship is equipped with a perfectly manicured 33 hp Yanmar diesel engine with shaft and three-blade propellor. Furthermore, the ship is well equipped with all spare parts.
