The Princess 37 (Y hull) is a very well regarded sea boat with good economy and sensible cruising speed thanks to its semi-displacement hull. This example has had many improvements in the recent past including a refit in 1997 including new engines installed with very low hours, and a second refit to upgrade the interior and comfort of the boat with greatly improved owners cabin, rewiring and many cosmetic updates. Her very full inventory includes a generator, air conditioning, heating, electric anchor windlass, Simpson davits and thanks to the folding radar arch it is ideal for coastal cruising, exploring inland waterways or French canals making it perfect for long term cruising or live-aboard use. May 2016 - Hull has just been polished and antifouled.

In around 1996 a major refit was completed consisting of the following works: The hull was stripped back to gelcoat and several coats of epoxy were applied, topsides painted white and polished, new stainless steel fuel tanks and water tanks were installed and then brand new Ford Mermaid Mariner engines were installed in March 1997 and have only run for 370hrs since installation (at 1st of May 2016). All wiring was renewed, the headlinings and fresh water systems were replaced, a Westerbeke 17000 BTU air conditioning unit (located under saloon seating) and Ardic 3kw blown air heating system were installed. To enable all shorepower items (fridge, tv, microwave, air conditioning, etc) to function whilst cruising an 8kw Westerbeke diesel generator was installed which has only been lightly used since installation.
During 2011/12/13 a second refit to improve the interior and exterior appearance and condition was completed. As well as the works documented in the accommodation section of these details the following exterior works were completed: The decks and cockpit sole were prepared and painted with non-slip paint, gunwales repainted, all windows resealed and opening windows serviced, hot and cold water pipes renewed, fore hatch replaced, refinished cockpit panels and a new stainless steel and teak bathing platform improved for easier access with transom and bathing ladders installed.
