The Trapper 500 offers up to five berths in two cabins. In the forecabin a V berth with infill.
In the saloon on the port side there are two settees with a table in between that drops to make a double berth, with a single settee opposite with lee cloth (new 2013) and quarter berth in the stern on the port side. Full width heads compartment with Jabsco manual marine toilet, storage cupboards and hanging locker opposite. Eberspacher diesel cabin heating with 2 outlets was fitted in 2013. Amtico flooring fitted 2013.
The galley comprises of a two burner gimballed gas cooker ( new 2014). Single stainless steel sink with manually pumped water supply ( new Whale foot pump 2013). Icebox Plenty or storage throughout. Patterned blue and orange upholstery throughout. New windows professionally installed 2013. A new 75Ltr flexible fresh water tank was fitted in 2013.
There is a large cockpit with two good size storage lockers.
Masthead sloop rigged with Aluminium deck stepped mast 1976. Mainsail with slab reefing, furling headsail with Plastimo 811 furler new in 2013. Stainless steel standing rigging and running rigging replaced 2003.
This Trapper 500 is powered by a 1976 Yanmar YSB8 8hp one cylinder diesel engine, Rebuilt in 2013 when a new alternator and starter motor were also fitted, Engine injector and fuel pump were removed and cleaned in 2016 as part of its routine maintenance. Shaft drive to a fixed 2 bladed propeller, 25 litre stainless steel diesel tank, giving a cruising range of approximately 160 nm. Spare propeller. Last serviced in 2013. Last ashore April 2017
2 x 12 volt batteries (Domestic 100AH new 2014 + Engine 75Ah new 2017) charging from the engine alternator and via 240 volt ring main system with battery charger, new 2013. New splitter diode fitted 2013.
Built by Trapper Yachts in 1976. White GRP hull and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to spade rudder. Self-draining cockpit. Owned by the current owner for the last 2 years.
