SAUSALITO LIVEABOARD BERTH POSSIBLY AVAILABLE WITH BOAT!

This Vessel is an absolute Norwegian Treasure, beautifully built & completely unique.

"SAGA" is an outstandingly well-found, seaworthy & appealing traditional Norwegian double-ended blue-water full-keeled cruising ketch sporting an easily-handled all new lug rig, new sails & what was a sweet-running & economical 35 hp Volvo inboard diesel that pushed her easily at 8 knots under power (unfortunately, although the engine still turns over, a valve began hanging up in the engine while Owner was overseas for several months ... it is not known if this can be easily freed up or not ... Owner has located an appx 900-hr Westerbeke Diesel replacement engine for about $3,000 that the Buyer could install ... "SAGA" would also be an excellent candidate for re-powering with an electric motor). Featuring warm, inviting old-world charm, she's a salty, very roomy & comfortable work of art with a 12' beam & 34' loa as well as a minimum of 6' headroom throughout.  She could very easily serve as an ideal cruising liveaboard for a single-hander or a couple. Skylights, portlights & good-sized opening pilothouse windows help ensure that she is both well-lit & airy down below.  "SAGA" was built in Norway in 1965 by well-respected Norwegian "Batbygger" (master boatwright), Osvald Forland out of Norwegian Fir & Cedar over Oak framing. She is a work of maritime art, stoutly-built, sturdy, seaworthy, comfortable & beautiful. Having sailed to the US on her own bottom she was acquired by prominent West Coast Marine Surveyor, Steve Wedlock, & has been lovingly & very tastefully renovated, refit & upgraded throughout. Steve is now relocating to Spain & must, reluctantly, put her on the market.

"SAGA's" many desirable attributes include, but are not limited to: FRP Sheathed laminated decks, 3 bilge pumps (manual & electric), fire extinguishers, solid fir spars (new), Masts are Tabernacled to easily lower to pass low bridges, etc. 4 Batteries in banks, Inverter, new battery charger, ABI Bronze Anchor Windlass, 2 Anchors,100 gal h2o in 2 tanks, 144 gal diesel fuel in 2 tanks, aft-stb galley in fwd cabin, new Isotherm refrigeration, 2-burner diesel stove, convection/microwave oven, European fuel cabin heater. 1 single & 1 double stateroom, hot & cold pressure water, shower, enclosed marine head (commercial-quality composting), furnishings built-in w/high-end materials, VHF, Depth sounder, compass, auto-Pilot & more! 10' frp custom dingy w/sliding seat & 2 fixed seats w/ 1 set long spoon oars & 2 sets short spoon oars available as well; but, subject to negotiation. "SAGA" is a very special vessel & would be a joy & a privilege to own.   She is one very sweet vessel!
