A 1914 delivery from renowned shipbuilders William Fife & Sons, sailing yacht SUMURUN is one of the most beautiful creations to come out of Fife, Scotland. She is on the market for the first time in 35 years.
Excellently maintained over the years and last refit in 2005, her century at sea has seen her converted from a gaff rigged yawl into a Bermuda ketch and repeatedly take honours on the American, Caribbean, transatlantic, and European regatta scene. Her easily handled rig is ideal for both racing and cruising.
A repeated winner at the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, SUMURUN was most recently victorious in Nantucket at the Panerai Opera House Cup and took home the prestigious Big Cup in Class O during the Royal Yacht Squadrons Bicentennial Celebrations and Regattas in May 2015.
A stunning period interior of English Oak panelling combined with the latest navigation and entertainment systems - including iPod docking systems, offers the best of old and new for guests’ enjoyment. Her layout of 3 cabins comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, comprising of two double cabins and a twin cabin.
SUMURUN has been excellently maintained (always in Lloyds 100A1), to be one of the most exciting propositions on the classic yacht market.
